During the 19th century fourteen Royal and Imperial courts made the House their official supplier and in the modern day, Piper-Heidsieck is the official Champagne of the Cannes film festival and the Oscars. Despite producing 5 million bottles of Champagne per year the House does not own any vineyards of their own, instead they purchase grapes from over sixty crus in the region. An ultra-modern house, Piper-Heidsieck are often at the cutting edge of new developments.
