Christmas Deliveries 2008

Christmas this year falls on a Thursday. This means our last guaranteed delivery date will be Wednesday 24th of December. We accept orders from anywhere in the world but deliveries can only be made within the United Kingdom. So even if you live abroad and wish to send your family and friends one of our fabulous gifts you can arrange everything online. We offer next working day delivery (mon-fri) for orders placed before 3pm. Our courier Parceline levies a £6.50 charge for Saturday deliveries. To book a Saturday service or one of our timed deliveries i.e. before 11am etc, please add at this the checkout. Whilst Parceline will be offering deliveries on Monday 24th December we would not recommend leaving it this late if possible. This allows no time for re-delivery should the recipients be unavailable. If however this date is required, we strongly recommend you give instructions to 'Leave safe or with neighbour' if out.

PLEASE NOTE:

It’s important to note the following information to ensure your delivery is made on time, the first time.

Will someone be home?

If we are delivering to a private address what would you like us to do if no one is home? The options available are: - leave safe or leave with neighbour (or both). Alternatively the courier can leave a card and take the parcel back to the depot.

Leave Safe?

If requested, parcels valued under £75 can be left safe on the property. This is at the drivers' discretion and will only be done if they feel there is a safe location. A card will be left to advise where it has been put.

Leave with neighbour?

If requested, our couriers will try the immediate neighbours. If successful they will leave a card to say whom it has been left with.

Addresses

Please ensure you give us a full and accurate address. For hard to find locations please give us some brief instructions. It is not possible to change the delivery address after the parcel has been despatched without incurring an extra charge (other than slight corrections).

Telephone Numbers

Please ensure where possible you give us a daytime telephone number for both yourself and the recipient. Parceline will call the delivery number if they cannot locate the address and we can call you if there are any problems or if we need additional information. Please note, Parceline will not call to re-arrange delivery is no-one was home.

Saturday & Timed Deliveries

We can offer Saturday and timed deliveries to most areas in the UK (except the most remote). Parceline apply a surcharge for these services and whilst we subsidise them as much as possible it is necessary for us to pass on some of the cost. Saturday and before 12:30 deliveries are charged at an extra £6.50.

Carded Deliveries

When Parceline have attempted a delivery and no-one is available they will leave a card. This will contain the local depot telephone number and the Parceline consignment number. Most depots will automatically re-attempt delivery the next working day, if they still can’t deliver they will hold the parcel at the depot for approximately five days while they wait for a call from the recipient. If there is no contact they will return the parcel to us.

Packaging and Damage

Our parcels are carefully packaged to ensure they arrive in pristine condition. We have years of experience despatching Champagne and rarely suffer any breakages. However in these rare cases we will immediately replace the broken goods and despatch them free of charge.
